competition.  Competitors included the Myers-Shepley Co., Adams County Mercantile, King Mercantile Co., Matheson's, A. T. Kendrick & Co., The Fair, Clodius & Von Holt, Smith & Thomsen, The Boston Store, Red Front Store, Davenny Co., Wm. Snyder Mercantile Co., and many, many more.  This book also features ads from many of the supporting businesses such as the Gritman Drug Co., Rosenoff Drug Co., Thiel Pharmacy Co., and other businesses such as restaurants, furniture stores, tailors, jewelry stores, meat markets, hardware stores, bakeries, grocery stores and others.
